Kenyan artist Jess Atieno works in an array of mixed media with conceptual approach to explore themes such as feminism and the women’s rights. Jess has exhibited both in Kenya and within the East Africa region. She is currently based at Kuona Trust, Nairobi.

These two are part of a larger series based on space and memory, either physical or imaginary, and by their virtual existence. As time continues to imprint on our memories, old ones continue to decompose, new ones are created and our perceptions and persona continue to evolve with the layers.
